Wildcat Music Experience and Collage Concert

Outreach Wednesday October 7, 2026 - 9:30a.m. to 3:00p.m.

The Wildcat Music Experience is an immersive day of  music making, experiential learning, and social interaction for high school and community college music students. Central to the day will be the Collage Concert, a showcase of current students in the School of Music. There will also be opportunities to attend engaging lectures, music clinics, and ensemble rehearsals, as well as sessions on University and School of Music admissions. Individual student/faculty meetings are available on request.

Open call: All high school and community college musicians, as well as their teachers are invited to campus! High school juniors, seniors, and potential transfer students who would like to participate and/or major in music in college are especially encouraged to attend. Lunch is included. Note: participants with special dietary restrictions are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

Please note: Individual attendees under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the entire event per University policy.

 

Sample schedule:

9:30 AM Welcome and registration

10 AM Session one (TBD)

11 AM Collage Concert in Crowder Hall

Noon Lunch

  • Peer-to-peer guided interaction with UA students
  • UA and School of Music Admissions session

1 PM Session two (TBD)

2 PM Faculty open studios: meet individually with an instrumental and voice teacher

Ensemble observation

3 PM Depart
