The haunting tale of Lucretia has been the subject of poetry, visual art and opera for centuries. What is it about this woman that has inspired so many? Twentieth-century English composer Benjamin Britten considers the dilemma of Lucretia’s honor in this poignant and haunting chamber opera. This fall the Fred Fox School of Music welcomes Cynthia Stokes to the faculty as the newly appointed Director of Opera Theater.
