April 30, Thursday, 11:00 a.m.
Crowder Hall, $Free
This unique event involves collaboration between composers, performers and scholars across the undergraduate and graduate levels. The event is the final class of Introduction to Music Literature, in which students investigate world premières of musical works throughout music history. As part of the event, music history professor Dr. Matthew Mugmon will provide introductory remarks about these works and their importance in music history. A brand new work, composed specifically for this event, will have its dress rehearsal followed by its world première performance.
