UA Wind Ensemble Concert
Saxophone Concerto Unquiet Waters
featuring Dr. Edward Goodman

We welcome award winning composer Kevin Day to the University of Arizona School of Music as our composer in residence! Kevin Day is an internationally acclaimed composer, conductor, and jazz pianist currently based in San Diego, California. Mr. Day is the recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship for Music Composition, a winner of the BMI Composer Award, the TCU Alumni Outstanding Young Professional Award, a three-time ASCAP Morton Gould Finalist, a finalist for the ABA Sousa-Oswald Award, and a finalist for the NBA Revelli Award.

During his time in Tucson, Mr. Day will be presenting masterclasses that are open to the public, and the UA Wind Ensemble will be performing his saxophone concerto, Unquiet Waters, which will feature UA’s professor of saxophone, Dr. Eddie Goodman.
