Undergraduate Admission
Step 1. Choose your degree
Choose which degree (BA Music, BM Music Education, or BM Performance) you would like to pursue, from the Undergraduate Degrees page.
Step 2. Apply to UA
Then, apply to the University of Arizona. Be sure to meet the application deadlines listed at this website. You will choose your intended major on your UA application.
Step 3. Complete your UA enrollment
Once you have been accepted to UA and to your chosen major, you should claim your spot in our incoming class by the deadline listed at the Admissions website. You can complete this important step by paying your enrollment fee in the Next Steps Center.
Step 4. Attend orientation
After committing to UA, all incoming students must meet individually with an academic advisor to get registered for their first-semester classes at UA. The meeting is held virtually, so you do not need to be in Tucson. Details about scheduling your meeting will be in your Next Steps Center. We look forward to seeing you, and welcoming you to the UA School of Music!

- Students applying to the BA Music degree are not required to complete a secondary application; admission to the University of Arizona ensures your acceptance into the BA Music program.
- If you intend to take applied studio lessons on a primary instrument or voice, you will need to audition for a teacher to be eligible to take lessons. You may either submit recording(s) to the appropriate faculty member, or you may attend a live in-person audition on campus.
