Congratulations are in order for Assistant Professor of Musicology Matthew Mugmon. He is one of six recipients of a distinguished fellowship through the Center for University Education Scholarship (CUES) this year!
From the web site: https://cues.arizona.edu/distinguished-fellowships “CUES Distinguished Fellowships will be awarded to UA faculty members who have demonstrated excellence as scholars and innovators in university teaching and learning. This award acknowledges and supports the scholarship of faculty members whose work positively influences the quality of education experienced by UA students, provides institutional value to the UA, and aligns with the CUES mission. Awardees each receive a CUES Distinguished Fellow appointment with an accompanying grant of up to $20,000 per year for one, two, or three years to support their ongoing work.”
Each College was limited to two applications for this prestigious honor. While this year’s recipients have not been listed yet, here are the 2018 professors who received this award: http://cues.arizona.edu/2018-CUES-fellows
Many thanks to Don Traut, Moisés Paiewonsky and Jule Streety for being an important part of the nomination process.
