“Home” featuring UA Symphonic Choir, José Luis Puerta (guitar) and Special Guests from Tucson’s “Housing First” program

Free and open to the public (a free will offering will be taken)

UA Symphonic Choir hosts this dynamic, multi-media performance on themes of home, featuring music by Tucson composers Ulysses Kay and Emily Drum, the art work of Tucson muralist Joe Pagac, guitarist José Luis Puerta, and guests from Tucson’s Housing First program. Music by Enya, Thomas A. Dorsey, Reena Esmail and Harry Belafonte also are included on the program. A live auction of an original painting by Joe Pagac will occur during the performance, and proceeds from the sale as well as a free will offering will go to support Tucson families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Symphonic Choir is under the direction of Elizabeth Schauer, conductor, and Dane Carten, assistant conductor.
