Tócalo Tucson – “On the Precipice”
A concert featuring all of the Tócalo Tucson participants, and our guest artists (Bob Becker – NEXUS Percussion Ensemble, Steve Reich Ensemble), Anders Åstrand (virtuoso vibraphonist), and Matthew Burtner (award winning composer). Highlights include four world premieres of new chamber works for percussion from our resident student composers (Aaron Hendrix, Joshua Gastelum, Jakub Rojek, and Neal Warner), and solo keyboard percussion works performed by Becker and Astrand!
