The Tucson Desert Song Festival is a collaborative series involving local and national performing arts organizations, brought together in Tucson to celebrate the beauty of the human voice. In its seventh year, the festival focuses on the rich heritage of Latin music and artists. Festival partners include Arizona Early Music Society, Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, Arizona Opera, Ballet Tucson, Consulate of Mexico in Tucson, True Concord Voices and Orchestra, Tucson Guitar Society, Tucson Jazz Festival, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, as well as UA Presents and UA Fred Fox School of Music.

“Canciones Españolas: The Flavor of Spanish Art Song” – Host: Kristin Dauphinais

The song repertoire of Spain and Mexico has a rich and vibrant history as colorful and dynamic as the places themselves. Join us as we explore the variety of repertoire and set your palate for the picante musical concerts of this year’s festival.
