The String Symposium is in partnership with the American String Teachers Association, offering sessions and workshops for 100 high school students and Arizona orchestra teachers. Educators, future educators, and students alike won’t want to miss this event. The event will feature John Contreras (director of the award-winning Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School and recipient of the Governor’s Arts Award), the U of A’s new violin and viola professors (Elena Chernova-Davis and Esteban Hernández Parra), workshops with the U of A faculty, and will conclude with a very special concert featuring professors from all three Arizona Universities!
