A Bill of One-Act Comedic Operas with Full Orchestra!

Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Telephone rings true in the age of constant connection. When Ben drops by to propose to Lucy, he finds himself in a battle—not with a rival suitor, but with her ever-ringing telephone. Menotti’s fast-paced score and clever libretto turn this everyday interruption into a hilarious commentary on love and modern technology. A perfect bite-sized opera brimming with humor and heart.

W.A.Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario) playfully lifts the curtain on the backstage dramas of the theater world. A hilarious tale of rival divas, artistic egos, and the chaos of casting, this spicy satire blends brilliant music with razor-sharp wit. Whether you’re a seasoned opera lover or new to the genre, Der Schauspieldirektor promises laughter, charm, and a delightful glimpse behind the scenes. Sung in German with English supertitles.
