Jeremy Denk is one of America’s foremost pianists, proclaimed by the New York Times ‘a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs’. Denk is also a New York Times bestselling author, winner of both the MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship and the Avery Fisher Prize, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
In his 3-day residency at the University of Arizona, Denk will perform a solo recital which centers on female composers of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries and also engage with the community in a Q&A session and a master class with UArizona piano students.
Jeremy Denk’s residency is made possible by the Sandra F. Lai Guest Artist Residency in Piano, which was established in 2023 to bring internationally renowned pianists to the University of Arizona.
