Faculty Artist Series Recital – Joe Saylor, drummer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Phil Kuehn, bass; Angelo Versace, piano

Joe Saylor, a percussionist, educator, and jazz artist based in New York City, is the drummer with Jon Batiste’s Stay Human band that plays on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Saylor will collaborate with childhood friends: bassist/arranger/composer Phil Kuehn and UA faculty artist Angelo Versace. The trio, which has performed all over the country for various jazz festivals and events, will play an evening of music inspired from their youth: Swing, New Orleans Street Beat, and gospel/spirituals.
