The Choral Area at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music welcomes renowned conductor Dale Warland to campus for an open conversation with choral conductors. The session, titled “Advice to the Young Conductor,” will open with Warland’s thoughts on the significance of repertoire and programming. Then, after his list of items the young conductor’s consideration, he’ll open the floor to questions. Warland made an indelible impression on contemporary choral music, nationally and internationally. In his quarter-century with the Dale Warland Singers, he offered both stunning performances of traditional repertory and premieres of some 270 works from composers around the globe.
