Join us to welcome the amazing duo from Poland, the Kupinski Duo.
The Kupinski Guitar Duo is one of Europe’s most renowned guitar duos, small wonder given their brilliant technique, passion, quality of sound and infinite elegance. Ewa Jablczynska and Dariusz Kupinski bring to their performances a masterful sense of ensemble and charming personal chemistry.
Ewa is tenured professor at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, and Dariusz teaches at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. In 2018/2019 duo resided in United States for an 18-month research and recording project addressing the Grawemeyer Award in music composition at the University of Louisville, funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland.
In 2011 their debut CD “SPANISH MUSIC” was released to wide acclaim. Their CD “RECITAL” /2016/ features arrangements of music of Chopin, Rossini, Piazzolla and Gershwin and the subsequent CD ‘Kupinski Guitar Duo Goes Modern’ /2022/ recorded new, unknown, original pieces for guitar duo.
The Kupinski Guitar Duo plays exclusively D’Addario strings on guitars made by Philip Woodfield.
