Arizona Percussion Arts Society Spring Festival – An Evening of Jazz and Percussion, Featuring John Riley and UA Faculty

Saturday, March 23rd – An Evening of Jazz and Percussion, featuring John Riley and faculty from the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music 5:30 p.m.
Please join us for the finale concert of the Arizona Percussive Arts Society Spring 2019 Days of Percussion Festival! The concert features famed drummer, John Riley of the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band and former drummer for Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie in combination with faculty from the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. The concert will also feature virtuoso percussionist Sean Dowgray. Tickets only available at the door, $10.  Crowder Hall inside the Fred Fox School of Music, 1017 N. Olive Rd. 621-1655

 

Schedule of Events for Saturday, March 23rd – all open to public

9:00 a.m – Solo and Ensemble Participants – Holsclaw Hall, Crowder Hall, Room 170 – FREE

11:45 a.m. – AZPAS Chapter Meeting – Conference Room – All welcome! FREE

1:00 p.m – John Riley drum set clinic – Crowder Hall – $10

2:15 p.m. – Sean Dowgray percussion clinic – Room 170 – $10

4:30 p.m. – Featured Solo and Ensemble Participants and U. of New Mexico Percussion Ensemble – Holsclaw Hall – FREE

5:30 p.m. – Sean Dowgray/John Riley Jazz Band featuring Angelo Versace, Brice Winston, Christopher Finet, and Morris Palter – Crowder Hall – $10

Festival pass for Friday and Saturday to all events – $25
Box Office opens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, and again Saturday March 23 at 8:00 a.m – Cash, Check, or Credit Card (3% service fee).
