
Viola Rola 2026, hosted by friends, students, and faculty of The University of Arizona School of Music.
Our main event will take place on Sunday, March 1st at the UA School of Music, starting at 9am and ending with a viola ensemble concert at 4pm in Holsclaw Hall.
We will open with a faculty/student welcome concert on Saturday, February 28th at 7pm in Holsclaw Hall, free admission!

A full day of workshops, masterclass-like collective learning sessions, Indigenous and Latin American musics for viola, and side-by-side playing with local and guest artists Breana Halimé McCullough, Dr. Kimberly Hankins, Michael Davis, Bethany Wigtil, Dr. Gabriela Ocádiz, TuSon Jarocho, Desert ViolAZ, and Dr. Esteban Hernández Parra
All violists are encouraged to join: these are free events for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds: come if you enjoy playing the viola and we will gladly welcome your participation at any skill level.
There is no required fee to participate, and there is free parking nearby during the events. We do welcome volunteers who would like to support us with logistics throughout the weekend.
