Join the UA Wind Ensemble and special guests, the Mountain Ridge High School Wind Ensemble, for an evening of new music and interactive experiences! Mountain Ridge High School Director and UA Alum Jeffrey Malone will lead his ensemble to start of the evening. The UA Wind Ensemble will be featuring a consortium premiere of The Time Traveler, the latest work by Patrick Harlin. The group is proud to feature a new work by UA’s very own composer, Yuanyuan (Kay) He, that is the result of an impactful collaboration with the Arizona Institute for Resilience. The work, Sonoran Rivers, represents a soundscape of the Southern Arizona’s precious watershed. The work will feature the poetry of Alison Hawthorne Deming as narrated by Neha Gupta, Assistant Research Professor in the Arizona Institute of Resilience.
