Following last year’s triumph of “Elijah,” the Arizona Choir and True Concord Voices & Orchestra collaborate again for Verdi’s monumental Messa da Requiem. Often referred to as Verdi’s best opera, the Requiem is imbued with great pathos, drama and sensitivity to the ancient liturgy of the Mass for the Dead, including the spellbinding Dies Irae, which is one of the most iconic moments in all of the classical repertoire. The concert will be performed under the baton of Bruce Chamberlain, director of the Arizona Choir. The director of True Concord Voices & Orchestra is Eric Holtan.
