StellarScape Special Event – BreathScape

Sunday, May 8, 2022

1pm and 3pm at Biosphere 2 South Lung

Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/stellarscape-special-event-breathscape-tickets-321015795887
Come to Biosphere 2 on Mother’s Day for a special celebration of our profound connection to the planet we live on. Experience BreathScape: a live, multimedia performance including singers, musicians, dancers, and video projection. BreathScape is a spin-off from the StellarScape project, which explores the human connection to the universe through cycles of star birth and death. In this case, the connection is between our breathing and the breathing of the living planet.
The concert and performance will be held in the Biosphere 2 “lung.” This special underground facility regulates air pressure in the glass enclosure and allows Biosphere to “breathe” in response to the daily and seasonal temperature variations. Just as mothers gave us our first breath, so the breathing of Mother Earth sustains and nurtures us. Join us in celebrating mothers, the union of science and the arts, and the University of Arizona’s unique research facility at Biosphere 2.
If you are a student, you can use the text “studentdiscount” to get $15 off the order. If you are a mother, please use “mothersday2022” for a FREE ticket.
As there are a limited number of spots available, we highly recommend that you purchase your tickets early.
