Ivan Ugorich earned a Master of Arts degree in arts administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music degree in viola performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He has worked as director of marketing and fundraising at Versa Music Conservatory of Music in Georgia. There, he assisted in raising funds for student scholarships and improving visibility for the school. In addition, he worked as an arts administrator in the Southeast, assisting arts organizations such as Council on Culture and Arts (COCA), The Artist Series, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and Thomasville Entertainment Foundation.
As an active performer, Ivan has performed with full-time orchestras including the Florida Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra and Orlando Philharmonic. Additionally, he served for two seasons as principal violist of Symphony Orchestra Augusta, Georgia. As an avid chamber musician, Ivan has won The McCauley Chamber Music Competition with his quartet in 2012, and has been selected to compete in the world-class International Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition as a 2016 Finalist with the Cerulean Trio. Other performance opportunities have taken him to Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Denmark and China. Engagements have included performances with notable artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Lang-Lang, Anne-Sophie Mütter, Midori and Guy Braunstein.
