Faculty cellist Theodore Buchholz and legendary guest pianist Mack McCray present an all-Beethoven program of works for cello and piano. The repertoire includes the ever-charming Seven Variations on The Magic Flute, the intimate Piano Sonata Op. 109, and the tremendous Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor. A graduate of the Juilliard School, winner of numerous international competitions, and international soloist, Mack McCray served and taught for many years as Chair of the Piano Department at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
